Heron Marsh is a 45 acre youth hunting area. Donated by the Iowa DOT as
wetland mitigation area, Heron Marsh features a 3 acre man-made wetland
surrounded by rolling hills of native grasses and timber.

Heron Marsh Youth Hunting Area
Heron Marsh is a 45 acre youth
hunting area. Donated by the Iowa Department of Transportation as wetland
mitigation area, Heron Marsh features a 3 acre man-made wetland surrounded by
rolling hills of native grasses and timber.
As a youth hunting area, Heron Marsh offers young hunters the opportunity to
hone their skills, while under the guidance of a accompanying adult. The area is
open to any youth 16 years and younger, and accompanied by a licensed adult.
Adults are not permitted to carry or be in possession of a firearm while in
Heron Marsh.
Permits may be obtained from the Conservation Department's Office. |
